Civil Rights Action - $18,000,000
A young man in his early twenties was injured in a motorcycle accident that caused a traumatic brain injury. He was later incorrectly diagnosed with schizophrenia and held against his will in two state mental hospitals for over three years, where he was physically restrained and overly medicated.

Child Molestation - $8,300,000
A twice-convicted sexual predator moved from New York and applied for a maintenance position at a Florida trailer park. The management staff failed to perform an adequate background check on the pedophile, and he was left to roam around the community where he eventually molested 13 children.

Negligent Supervision - $6,700,000
A nine-year-old boy stood on a sidewalk at his special education school when a team of bullies slammed him to the ground where he struck his head. The force of the young boy’s head hitting the concrete caused a traumatic brain injury.

Dump Truck Accident - $6,500,000
Our client was a young man driving his small pickup truck over the Shand’s Bridge when a dump truck driver collided with him head-on, resulting in a mild traumatic brain injury. This was the largest verdict in Clay County’s history.

Consumer Fraud - $5,101,250
After our client bought a vehicle from a new car dealer, she took it to the dealership several times for them to repair her rusting truck. They refused, and even though the sales contract required them to apply a rust resistant coating, they purposely failed to use the proper paint. $5,101,250. ($1,250 in compensatory damages and $5,100,000 in punitive damages.)

Toxic Mold - $5,100,000
Five of the forty employees at an office building suffered permanent injuries when the company failed to keep the air intake system on the air conditioner clear and clean.

Garbage Truck Accident - $3,000,000.00
A 75,000 pound (4.5 tons overweight) garbage truck, at an estimated speed of 65 mph, swerved out of its lane hitting our clients' vehicle head-on. The accident caused the death of a young mother and injury to her teenage daughter.

Defective Product - $3,000,000
A young police officer on an undercover assignment was shot by a fellow police officer with a defective sawed-off shotgun. The gunshot took out a large amount of his thigh area, forcing him to endure a lengthy rehabilitation.

Dog Bite - $3,000,000
At the home of her babysitter, a three-year-old girl was left unattended and was mauled by three dogs. Although she miraculously survived, she was left with devastating injuries. The mobile home community claimed that it did not have any knowledge of the animals.

Automobile Accident - $4,500,000
Our client, a 49-year-old mortgage broker, suffered a mild traumatic brain injury when the defendant failed to yield the right of way at an intersection and broadsided our client’s car.

Defective Parking Arm - $3,000,000
A middle-aged business executive was returning to her vehicle from a concert when an automatic parking arm fell and hit her head, neck, shoulders, and back. While our client never lost consciousness, this accident caused a traumatic brain injury that resulted in traumatic Parkinson’s Syndrome.

Negligent Supervision - $2,000,000
Our client hit his head in a collision with another child while playing a game of "Capture the Flag" in the dark during a weekend school field trip. The school supervisors failed to seek treatment for our client's head injury or contact his parents. As a result of the delay in treatment and subsequent brain surgery, our client will suffer with cognitive deficits for the rest of his life.

Rear-End Collision - $1,750,000
While traveling to work in the early morning, a truck driver ran into our client's vehicle; she never lost consciousness. Our client, who had experienced a previous psychiatric illness, suffered a mild traumatic brain injury from the collision, leaving her unable to return to her job, perform simple chores, and enjoy the pleasures of life.

Commercial Vehicle Accident - $1,625,000
On a four-lane road, our client was side-swiped by a commercial truck driver. Her vehicle crashed into a ditch where she hit a tree, leaving her with a traumatic brain injury and blindness in both eyes.

Automobile Accident - $1,500,000
The defendant driver stopped in the middle of a road at 3:00 a.m. with no lights. The vehicle carrying our seven-week-old client collided with the defendant’s vehicle. The newborn baby suffered a linear skull fracture and a traumatic brain injury without any loss of consciousness. The defendant claimed that the baby had no residual effects, but the plaintiff contended she had scholastic problems related to the injury.

Tractor Trailer Collision - $1,500,000
Our client had stopped behind a school bus when a tractor trailer slammed into him going approximately 40 mph. The force of the collision caused our client to suffer a traumatic brain injury with impairment of cognitive brain function.

Minor DUI Accident - $1,000,000
Our client, a sixteen year old girl, was a front seat passenger in a vehicle when the driver lost control of his car and hit a telephone pole. The driver was a minor and under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident due to the failure of a food store employee to seek identification from the driver when purchasing alcohol prior to the accident.

Elderly Abuse - $1,000,000.00
An elderly man suffered a traumatic brain injury when he was beaten with a case by his roommate in an assisted living facility.  Numerous reports were made pertaining to the violant behavior of our client's roommate prior to the incident.


Drunk Driver Accident - $1,000,000
When walking home from work, a registered nurse at Shands Hospital was hit by a drunk driver whose blood-alcohol level was three times the legal limit. Earlier in the day, the defendant sat at a bar where a bartender continuously supplied him with alcoholic beverages–which ultimately resulted in an accident that caused spinal injuries to our client.

Nursing Home Neglect - $700,000.00
An elderly lady suffered from multiple bedsores due to lack of turning and repositioning and improper wound care by nursing home staff. She also endured multiple falls resulting in bruising and fractures from lack of restraint and supervision. The Department of Children and Family Services found that the nursing home neglected our client and set forth guidelines for the nursing home to follow in order to improve quality of care at the facility.

Nursing Home Neglect - $655,000.00
Nursing staff performed an improper urinary catherization while caring for an elderly gentleman. This failure in standard care and subsequent failure to identify and seek treatment lead to a urinary tract infection, sepsis and death. The children were not informed by the nursing home of their father's condition until after he died.

Nursing Home Neglect - $450,000.00
An elderly gentleman who was living independently was admitted to this nursing home for rehabilitation for a fractured hip. The nursing home failed to provide any turning and repositioning of this gentleman which resulted in a large bedsore to his buttocks. The nursing home also attempted to cover-up its neglect by altering our client's nursing home chart.

FLSA Class Action - Confidential Settlement
Our Firm represented a class of individuals against their employer for failure to pay overtime wages as required by Federal Law. The lawsuit settled shortly after certification of the class.
