St. Augustine High vs Nease FTW Team of the Week 04-08-2015

St. Augustine and Nease is one of the great high school rivalries of the first coast. However, for six years now the girls from the SAHC Softball team have been transcending the bitter rivalry to raise money to end the disease which took their iconic coach at the age of 56. Kenneth B.G. Gaster was a land surveyor by trade, but he coached softball for 25 years. From 1997 through 2006 he coached the girls’ softball team for the Episcopal High School Eagles and from 2007 through 2009 was the coach for the girls’ softball team for the St. Augustine High School Yellow Jackets. This year the 6th annual game raised over $10,000 for cancer research. Their focus and generosity has raised the Jackets into the Team of the Week
