Why hire our VA disability attorneys?

Our Fernandina Beach veterans disability benefits lawyers serve a wide range of veterans’ legal needs to help them get the benefits they’ve earned and deserve. We have a team of veterans who are proud to provide expert representation during your application and appeals process to ensure you have your best opportunity for receiving a favorable rating from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Helping veterans is important to all of us at Harrell & Harrell, P.A., so we provide assistance with filing for your VA benefits at no cost to you. Should we obtain a retroactive award on your behalf, we receive a percentage as a contingency fee. If we do not obtain the award, you pay us nothing.

What to know about the VA benefits application and appeals processes.

The application and appeals process can be challenging, but veterans don’t have to face it alone. Together with our on-staff medical experts, our attorneys work to establish an accurate disability with the appropriate service.

Because some disabilities are not apparent at the time of separation from the military and may not appear for months or years, it can be difficult to relate the beginning of medical symptoms to the event or events that caused the health condition. That’s why it is critical to get treatment for any health issue that persists or gets worse over time.

If you are unsatisfied with your disability rating or your VA disability benefits claim has been denied, we can assist you with filing a Notice of Disagreement with your local Department of Veterans Affairs regional office. It’s important not to put off taking action: You have just 12 months from the date of the decision to notify the VA that you want to appeal. If you filed a Notice of Disagreement and then received a Statement of the Case, you must submit the proper paperwork to the VA within 60 days of the date of the Statement of the Case or 12 months from the Department of Veterans Affair’s decision (whichever is longer).

Get the VA disability benefits you deserve.

Our Fernandina Beach VA disability lawyers are experienced in guiding veterans through the disability compensation application and appeals processes. If your claim has been denied or if you believe your disability rating is not accurate, contact us online or call us at 904-251-1111 to schedule your free consultation.
