KATIE DEAL
Katie Deal is a trial attorney at Harrell & Harrell, P.A., where she devotes her practice exclusively to personal injury law, representing individuals injured due to the negligence of others. Her experience includes cases involving motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, and premises liability.
A native of Ormond Beach, Florida, Katie earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in 2005 and her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University in 2008, which included an enriching study abroad experience at Oxford. She took on leadership roles in several organizations; She served as Treasurer of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, competed on the American Association for Justice trial team, and volunteered as a Law Student Advisor.
She also gained valuable legal experience as a law clerk for a private South Florida firm and as a legal intern for the State Attorney’s Office, 17th Judicial Circuit, where she developed practical insight into the criminal justice system. Katie began her legal career in 2008 as a prosecutor with the State Attorney’s Office in Jacksonville, where she served for six years. She tried more than 60 jury trials and handled serious felony cases in divisions such as Homicide and Major Crimes. Her work demanded strong trial skills and empathy for victims and their families.
Since transitioning to civil litigation in 2014 and joining Harrell & Harrell in 2017, Katie has focused her practice on advocating for the injured. She is a dedicated and compassionate advocate, known for her ability to guide clients through the legal process with clarity and care. Katie takes pride in delivering personalized service and helping clients feel supported at every stage. She is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, the Young Lawyers Division, and the E. Robert Williams American Inn of Court, where she continues to stay engaged in the legal community and refine her skills as a trial attorney.
When she’s not advocating for her clients, Katie volunteers on the executive board of the PTA at her son’s elementary school, enjoys working out, fishing, being on the water with her husband, and spending time with her friends and family. Katie has been married to her husband, Ray, and together they cherish time with their energetic son and new puppy, Fisher.
