Matthew T. Roach is a trial attorney at Harrell & Harrell, P.A., and a lifelong Florida native. His practice focuses on personal injury and premises liability, with a career spanning over two decades in both defense and plaintiff-side litigation.
Matt began his legal career after earning his Juris Doctor, with honors, from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2000. While in law school, he gained valuable legal experience as an intern at the Office of the State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit, where he developed a strong foundation in litigation. Before law school, he attended Valdosta State University, where he played for the VSU Blazers football team, and later earned his undergraduate degree from Florida State University, graduating cum laude.
Prior to joining Harrell & Harrell, Matt represented clients on both sides of civil litigation. He defended nursing home and medical malpractice claims for a national insurance defense firm, served as in-house counsel for a major insurance carrier, and advocated for injured individuals at a nationwide plaintiffs’ firm. In 2015, he achieved Board Certification in Civil Trial Law, recognizing his experience, expertise, and commitment to the highest standards of trial advocacy.
Matt is recognized for his strategic approach to litigation, practical insights, dedication, and client-centered advocacy. His diverse background across the legal spectrum allows him to bring a well-rounded and informed perspective to every case he handles.
Outside of his professional commitments, Matt values time with his wife, Amanda, and their children, Beau and Emmi Ruth.
