Harrell and Harrell: Employee Profile—Lauralee Rodriguez

LauraLeeSpotlight1For almost three decades, Harrell & Harrell, P.A., has been practicing law and helping those who have been injured. Throughout our history, the team has worked together to remain dedicated to client service and the practice of personal injury law.

Lauralee Rodriguez has been a member of the team—and the Harrell & Harrell family—for 17 years. She joined the firm when she was just 19 years old as a legal assistant to the pre-litigation paralegals. Today, she has achieved her goal of becoming a pre-litigation paralegal herself.

Personal History

Lauralee was born in Clay County, where she still lives today, raising her family with her husband of 15 years. After graduating high school, she joined Harrell & Harrell and also worked as a licensed massage therapist for 10 years. She and her husband enjoy trips to the Caribbean and are avid thrill seekers—they love roller coasters, sky diving and hang gliding.

Lauralee spends a great deal of her time outside of work involved with her local church, and she has always been driven by helping people. This motivation carries into her work for Harrell & Harrell, where she strives to ensure clients are treated with the utmost respect and excellence in service.

Role & Responsibilities at the Firm

Over the course of her career at Harrell & Harrell, Lauralee has had the opportunity to grow with the firm each time she felt ready to take on a new challenge. She began as a legal assistant, transitioned to the intake department, and now, she serves a very important role as a pre-litigation paralegal—a position she’s worked towards ever since she started at Harrell & Harrell in her teens.

In her day-to-day work, Lauralee works with clients to answer all the questions, big or small, that come up after an accident and when going through a settlement—everything from auto and health insurance questions to advice on medical management. Lauralee also works with the attorneys to send demand packages to the insurance adjuster, negotiate and relay offers to the clients. Lauralee makes it a point to treat clients like they are a member of her family during this stressful time, as she guides them every step of the way.

“My favorite part of the job is getting a call or an email from a client when they say, ‘I could not have done this without you. You’ve held my hand every step of the way,’” Lauralee says.

We’re With You

After 17 years at Harrell & Harrell, Lauralee feels like she is truly part of the family. “I don’t take for granted that I have my dream job. I’m thankful that I get to do it, but I’m even more grateful about where I get to do it and who I get to do it with,” she says. Lauralee recalls how integral the Harrell & Harrell team has been through the major milestones of her life, from her wedding to the birth of her children. She loves how everyone—including leadership like Renee Harrell—can get together at lunch and work out, and enjoy such a wonderful team dynamic.

Lauralee feels it is this team spirit that sets Harrell & Harrell apart from other firms. “Here, we are part of a family and we treat our clients like family as well” Like Lauralee, the entire firm is filled with people dedicated to exceptional client service and the practice of personal injury law.
