Harrell and Harrell: Employee Profile—Rich Quallio

Rich-Quallio1

For almost three decades, Harrell & Harrell, P.A., has been practicing law and helping those who have been injured. Throughout our history, the team has worked together to remain dedicated to client service and the practice of personal injury law.

Rich Quallio served our country for 30 years before joining the Harrell & Harrell team in 2013. A Navy veteran, he instantly connected with Bill Harrell over their shared background in the service. To this day, he’s grateful Bill took a chance on him and brought him into the Harrell & Harrell family. Now, as an Intake Specialist and Investigator, Rich works diligently to ensure new clients have everything they need.

Personal History

Rich-Quallio2

Rich grew up in the Reading, Pennsylvania area, and joined the Navy at 18 as a helicopter rescue swimmer. He traveled all around the world to different stations, including Japan, Italy, and Hawaii. Through his hard work and dedication, Rich achieved the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer by the end of his naval career. This is the highest enlisted rank in the U.S. Navy, and a distinction only one percent ever reach. It stands as one of his greatest professional accomplishments.

After retiring from the service here in Jacksonville, Rich married his wife, Trina. They have five children. Two of his daughters, Miranda Quallio and Morgan Hall, now work with Rich at Harrell & Harrell. This family atmosphere is part of why Rich loves being part of the Harrell & Harrell team. He also loves when he has the opportunity to help his broader family of fellow veterans and service members.

“As a veteran, you lean toward other veterans, because you know you can trust them,” Rich says. “When I meet a client who is also a veteran, it instantly puts them at ease. They know I will take care of them. It’s a great way for me to pay it forward and help those people in need.”

Role & Responsibilities at the Firm

As Intake Specialist and Investigator, Rich meets with new clients to help them in the initial stages after an accident. He views his role as similar to a counselor, as he listens to clients’ stories and guides them through the next steps. In all his work, Rich is motivated by helping people. During his time in the military, he learned how important it is to rely on others. That’s why it’s important to him that clients can rely on him.

For Rich, making clients feel comfortable is a top priority. His greatest daily accomplishment is helping clients feel good when they leave his office. Rich also takes great satisfaction whenever one of his clients receives the settlement they deserve.

Rich takes great pride in working for Harrell & Harrell, and sees himself with the firm for many years to come.

“When you retire from the military you think, what am I going to do now?” Rich recalls. “I want to thank the Harrell family for bringing me in and giving me this opportunity. I’m glad that they trusted me.”
